Tip-Edge© bracket

Tip-edge bracketsThe most common appliances used in our practice are small, rectangular stainless steel brackets bonded directly to the teeth. Besides excellent esthetics compared to large “twin” brackets commonly used, the Tip-Edge© bracket is the most advanced and efficient appliance available. With good patient cooperation, treatment with the Tip-Edge system can be accomplished in a shorter time with little or no use of headgear.

The plastic “O” rings that hold the wire to the brackets come in different colors. Although most adults prefer silver (to blend in with the bracket), most of the adolescent patients enjoy changing color combinations at each appointment.

Another option favored particularly by many adult patients is tooth-colored ceramic brackets, allowing the braces to be less conspicuous as they blend in with the enamel of the tooth. There is an additional fee for treatment with ceramic brackets.
